You will need experience of working in depth with spiritual care issues, especially in relation to illness, death and dying. While you will not be working as a chaplain, you will assess patients' spiritual/religious needs, provide an education and training programme and manage and support our multi-faith chaplaincy team.

Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 7 + ILW + NHS Pension

Community Specialist Palliative Care Team

In this key post you'll provide clinical knowledge and expertise for patients and their carers, healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses, and a range of other agencies including social services and the voluntary sector. Advising on all aspects of specialist palliative care, you'll keep standards high by the thorough assessment, planning, implementing and review of interventions. You'll also be involved in everything from providing counselling and bereavement support to staff recruitment and policy development.

We're looking for someone with substantial post-registration experience, some of which will have been gained in a palliative care, oncology or similar environment. Recognised qualifications in cancer nursing, palliative care and teaching are also essential, as are excellent communication skills, organisational abilities and the capacity to manage conflict. As some travel is required, you'll additionally be a car owner and driver.

Triage Nurse - Band 7 + ILW + NHS Pension

This post is a new initiative for North London Hospice and Enfield Specialist Palliative Care Team. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person, who, working alongside clinical and administrative colleagues, will manage the process of referral to ensure smooth delivery of all our services - community, day centre and in-patient unit.

You'll have substantial post-registration experience, some of which will have been gained in palliative care, oncology or similar environment. Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist post would be desirable, as well as knowledge of using patient care databases. Recognised qualification in cancer nursing, palliative care and teaching are also essential, as are excellent communication skills, organisational abilities and the capacity to manage conflict.
