Example - William Shakespeare This trust has been set up in memory and celebration of the life of William Shakespeare.
EXAMPLE TRUST. Many of you visiting this site will know about William and the varied, active and interesting life he led. This trust has been set up by his granddaughter Elizabeth to celebrate his life, share stories, remember him and also raise money for the North London Hospice. William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford upon Avon. In November 1582 he married Anne Hathaway, the daughter of Richard Hathaway, a local farmer. They had three children Susanna and the twins Hamnet and Judith. Sadly, Hamnet died in 1596, aged only 11. William moved to London in 1586 where he began writing his plays and established a new theatre company. Although his professional career kept him in London, William kept his strong links with Stratford, buying one of the areas largest houses, New Place, in 1597. William died in Stratford, aged fifty-two, on 23rd April 1616. Comments from friends and family. Robert Greene will always remember William as "an upstart crow". Elizabeth "I will always remember the wonderful stories grandfather told me at bedtime. An amazing man, much loved, respected and missed." So far the William Shakespeare In Memorial trust has raised £10,000. Thank you to everyone who has donated.
