Why not organise your own event to raise money. Here are some ideas: - Hold an office auction. You could bid for: a week of dressing down, the use of the boss' office for a day or a day off...! - Set up a swear box at work. - Sponsor the boss to work on reception for an hour. - Take on colleagues 'tricky' phone calls - £1 a go! - Dress down day or mad hair day etc. - A sponsored bike ride without leaving the office - set up an exercise bike and staff can take it in turns to cycle an agreed amount of miles. - Hold a dance or aerobics class in the lunch hour or after work and charge all participants for the privilege. - Organise a raffle at work. - Organise a bonus ball lottery every week. Everybody pays a pound and picks a number between 1 and 49. When the lottery is drawn the person who matches the bonus ball wins half the money and the other half goes to the hospice.
- Offer to carry out office errands for a fee. - Ask your local pub to hold a quiz night or race night then get a group of colleagues to go along. - Ask your boss about match funding. Your employer might have a policy where they match the funds you raise for the hospice, doubling what you have raised!
